Board the charming floatplanes and head inland in search of the regions world famous grizzly bears, eagles and foxes. Top your journey off with a trip back to the mainland to explore the rugged seascapes of the Sunshine Coast.

Itinerary

Day 1 - ARRIVAL IN VANCOUVER
Arrive at Vancouver International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel.

Day 2 - VANCOUVER to VICTORIA (70 KM)
Taking the ferry across the Strait of Georgia will transport you past the rugged coastline and tranquil beaches of the Gulf Islands to Vancouver Island. Journey down the Saanich Peninsular to Victoria, the capital of British Columbia.

Day 3 – VICTORIA TO TOFINO (320 KM )
The amazing panoramic views during this journey will take your breath away. The road winds through ancient rainforests and provincial parks.

Day 4 – TOFINO
Search for the Pacific grey whale, sea lions and puffins as you take part in this thrilling whalewatching expedition. Back on dry land you are left to your own devices to explore the rugged coastline along a network of hiking trails or stroll along the shoreline of Long Beach.

Day 5 – TOFINO TO CAMPBELL RIVER (290 km)
Spectacular winding roads take you back to the eastern coast of Vancouver Island and along the way be sure to visit Horne Lake or the amazing Cathedral Grove. Native rock carvings and picturesque falls line your route for the perfect driving background.

Day 6 – CAMPBELL RIVER
Enjoy a day in the 'Salmon Capital of the World.' See salmon, eagles or even whales and take in the view of Discovery Passage, Quandra Island and the Coast Mountain range of mainland British Columbia. Close by is Strathcona Park where you'll find the 440-meter high Delta Falls amongst other breath-taking sites.

Day 7 – CAMPBELL RIVER TO KNIGHT INLET
An exciting 30-minute boatplane ride gives you access to Knight Inlet Lodge which floats on large cedar booms. Bring your camera because you'll be going off bearwatching and wildlife viewing. Be prepared, relish the lush West Coast rainforest and if you visit during spring you see hungry grizzly bears fishing for salmon.

Day 8 - KNIGHT INLET TO VANCOUVER (160 KM)
Return to Campbell River by floatplane and enjoy the route back to Vancouver taking in amazing coastal scenery as you cruises along the Strait of Georgia and drive down the Sunshine Coast. Keep a keen eye out for loons, bald eagles, Canada geese, deer and black bears.

Day 9 - END OF TOUR
Return to Vancouver International Airport in time for check in for your return flight.
